The generic GameOps update dialog and background-progress button now follow the selected accent colour, corner shape and spacing, using the existing dashboard typography and button styles. The progress indicator respects reduced-motion preferences.

The standalone Valheim Worldkeeper design is unchanged. Update execution, polling and recovery behavior are unchanged. The Valheim repository includes the matching generic frontend in its vendored GameOps core.

Validation: browser checks for three custom accents, all corner styles, both spacing settings, live theme changes, mobile sizing, reduced motion, background/reopen, failure, refresh and completion. Deployed generic frontend assets were verified; standalone assets remain byte-for-byte unchanged. No game or dashboard service restart was required.

    Update reliability and progress

Status reads remain responsive while an update runs. The controller serializes mutations and rejects conflicting actions, while a bounded worker pool serves read-only requests. Structured failures from the controller are retained when SSH exits nonzero, rather than being reported as a host-key/connection problem.

The update dialog can be closed and reopened and reconnects after a page refresh. It reports completion/failure and elapsed time. Valheim shows actual maintenance stages; generic adapters use an indeterminate indicator rather than an invented download percentage. Closing the dialog does not cancel an update.

Deploy the matching controller and web runtime together. Do not restart a controller during an active operation. Generic operation history is held by the controller process; Valheim maintenance history additionally persists on disk.

Staging now preserves the copied Steam app manifest under a backup name, refreshes Steam app information and explicitly selects the public branch. This prevents retired installed depot manifests from blocking the staged update. The live installation, save backup and reviewed-target verification remain intact. Passive current-build reads no longer contend for the maintenance mutation lock.

The same shared transport/controller fixes are included in the pinned GameOps core and generic frontend.

Validation: Linux regression suites and browser scenarios covering running progress, background/reopen, failure, page refresh and completion. The staged Valheim repair successfully obtained the reviewed public build without modifying the running installation.

Live validation: Dwayne’s Valheim update completed on build 25364309 with a verified backup and query-ready server. The patched controller answered runtime status in 0.025 seconds and installed-build status in 0.114 seconds during a Steam build check. Linux tests: 19 Valheim and 20 GameOps passed.
