2026-09-17 20:03:40 +01:00 | 0 commits to main since this releaseThe generic GameOps update dialog and background-progress button now follow the selected accent colour, corner shape and spacing, using the existing dashboard typography and button styles. The progress indicator respects reduced-motion preferences.
The standalone Valheim Worldkeeper design is unchanged. Update execution, polling and recovery behavior are unchanged. The Valheim repository includes the matching generic frontend in its vendored GameOps core.
Validation: browser checks for three custom accents, all corner styles, both spacing settings, live theme changes, mobile sizing, reduced motion, background/reopen, failure, refresh and completion. Deployed generic frontend assets were verified; standalone assets remain byte-for-byte unchanged. No game or dashboard service restart was required.

2026-09-17 19:18:27 +01:00 | 2 commits to main since this releaseUpdate reliability and progress
Status reads remain responsive while an update runs. The controller serializes mutations and rejects conflicting actions, while a bounded worker pool serves read-only requests. Structured failures from the controller are retained when SSH exits nonzero, rather than being reported as a host-key/connection problem.
The update dialog can be closed and reopened and reconnects after a page refresh. It reports completion/failure and elapsed time. Valheim shows actual maintenance stages; generic adapters use an indeterminate indicator rather than an invented download percentage. Closing the dialog does not cancel an update.
Deploy the matching controller and web runtime together. Do not restart a controller during an active operation. Generic operation history is held by the controller process; Valheim maintenance history additionally persists on disk.
Validation: Linux regression suites and browser scenarios covering running progress, background/reopen, failure, page refresh and completion. The staged Valheim repair successfully obtained the reviewed public build without modifying the running installation.
Live validation: Dwayne’s Valheim update completed on build 25364309 with a verified backup and query-ready server. The patched controller answered runtime status in 0.025 seconds and installed-build status in 0.114 seconds during a Steam build check. Linux tests: 19 Valheim and 20 GameOps passed.

2026-09-15 16:38:14 +01:00 | 6 commits to main since this releaseAdds a reusable Caddy security-log snippet and guarded fail2ban jail installer for deployments with a separate HTTPS ingress. Exact hostname/login-path failures trigger nftables bans on TCP and UDP 80/443. The guide explains trustworthy client attribution, testing, recovery, CDN limitations and the need for native failure events for other applications.
Adds ecosystem guidance distinguishing this universal dashboard from game-specific dashboards and the blueprint generator. Version 0.8.0.
Validation: 16 Python tests including structured-log injection negatives, plus Bash syntax. The equivalent deployed ingress configuration passed a controlled failed-login ban/unban test, a forged-forwarding-header check, and IPv4/IPv6 ban persistence after a fail2ban restart.
Source release. See the fresh-install and ecosystem guides before installation. Publishing this release does not upgrade existing deployments.
